Menthol declines on subdued demand

Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today.

Menthol prices fell by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely due to lack of demand from consuming units amid adequate stocks on increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh.

Menthol bold crystal,flake and mentha oil prices fell by Rs 5 each to Rs 1,645,Rs 1,590 and Rs 1,505 per kg,respectively.

Marketmen said reduced offtake by consuming units against increased arrivals from producing belts in Uttar Pradesh markets,mainly put pressure on the menthol prices.
