Mentha oil rose by Rs 10.40 or 1.54 per cent at Rs 685.20 per kg in futures trade today on increased demand among exporters against slow down in arrivals from producing regions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange,mentha oil for June contract rose Rs 10.40 or 1.54 per cent to Rs 685.20 per kg,with a trading volume of 249 lots.
The oil for delivery in May contract up Rs 8.40 or 1.21 per cent to Rs 704.40 per kg,in a business volume of 734 lots.
Traders said,increased demand among exporters mainly pushed up mentha oil prices at futures market.
They said restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh also influenced trading sentiment to some extent.
