Sachin-Jigar’s music goes with the situations but does not strive for any kind of excellence. Mehul Kumar has never been a musical filmmaker but we did expect a certain extra effort in his daughter’s launch film as an actor and a sequel to his blockbuster. Lau jali (Jigar) is a patriotic,rousing number that is let down by its rock music-like backing that detracts from the punch needed. Chhoti tera birthday aaya has seven singers but does not justify the multiple voices as it is an average number. KK-Shreya’s Khuda mere khuda is as predictable as it can get,and it is only in Firangi paani (Anushka-Master Saleem) that we see a modicum of ingenuity. A lacklustre effort.
