The Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a petition by a section of Kingfisher pilots, seeking adequate directions to the management of the ailing airline as well as the Centre for settling their long-pending arrears and outstanding dues.
A vacation bench of Justices AK Patnaik and Ranjan Gogoi ordered the petition to be listed on Wednesday. The court order came after the petitioners lawyer Ravi P Mehrotra asserted the urgency of the matter and sought an early hearing in view of the pilots right of life and livelihood being involved. The petition has been filed by around 15 pilots.
