Nila Madhab Pandas new film Jalpari The Desert Mermaid has been invited for competition in the Sixth Annual 2012 Asia Pacific Screen Awards APSA. The second directorial venture of Panda after his critically acclaimed and multiple-award-winning I Am Kalam.

Jalpari, starring Parvin Dabbas,Tannishtha Chatterjee,Suhasini Mulay and Harsh Mayar with new finds Lehar Khan and Krishang Trivedi,has music by the international sensation Midival Punditz. It will release in Indian theatres on July 20.

Tiger to start shooting in December

Jackie and Ayesha Shroffs son Tiger will finally start the shooting of his first film in December. Tiger has been signed to play the main lead in producer Sajid Nadiadwalas project. Talking about her sons Bollywood debut,Ayesha says,I am happy that Tiger has signed his first film. Currently he is just preparing for the film by taking action and dance training.

Esha Deol to wed on June 29

Esha Deol is to tie the knot with her fiance Bharat Takhtani on June 29 in a temple in Mumbai. The ring ceremony,which took place at mother Hema Malinis bungalow in Juhu on February 12,was a private affair and was attended by close family members and some friends.

The wedding is likely to be a private affair,while the reception will take place on June 30 at a suburban five star hotel with people from the film industry and politics expecting to attend it.
