Karur Vysya Bank net profit in quarter rises 8

For the financial year ending March 31,2013,net profit rose by 9.68 per cent to Rs 550.32 crore.

Private sector lender Karur Vysya Bank has reported an eight per cent increase in net profit for the fourth quarter ending March 31,2013 at Rs 158.58 crore. The Tamil Nadu-based bank had reported net profit at Rs 146.79 crore during the corresponding period of the previous year,Karur Vysya Bank said in a BSE filing.

For the financial year ending March 31,2013,net profit rose by 9.68 per cent to Rs 550.32 crore from Rs 501.72 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Total income for the fourth quarter ending March 31,2013 grew to Rs 1,283.95 crore from Rs 1,059.27 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous year.

For the fiscal ending March 31,2013 total income stood at Rs 4,694.99 crore against Rs 3,620.52 crore registered during the corresponding period of the previous year.

The bank said the Board of Directors at its meeting held today has recommended a dividend of Rs 14 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the financial year ending March 31,2013.

Shares of the bank were trading at Rs 479 apiece,up by 1.50 per cent over the previous close in afternoon trade at BSE.
