‘J-K car blast case cracked’

After investigation,police sources said that the blast was the handiwork of Lashkar-e-Toiba and Hizbul Mujaheedin cadres caused to inflict heavy damages on the security installation.

The police probing into the car blast that left a suspected militant dead and more than 20 civilians injured in South Kashmir ‘s Bijbehara town last week have been able to crack the case and identified the militant module that was responsible for the attack.

After investigation,police sources said that the blast was the handiwork of Lashkar-e-Toiba and Hizbul Mujaheedin cadres caused to inflict heavy damages on the security installation. However,the handlers messed up with the blast and the blast got triggered at a market on the road side.

“We have almost cracked the case and identified the persons,who had fitted explosives in the car and were responsible for the blast,’’ a senior police officer,investigating the case said.
