Tata Motors firm Jaguar Cars has been chosen to receive the Asian Guild’s Enterprise Award 2010,while the ‘Incredible India’ slogan coined by India’s Tourism Ministry to attract global tourists was selected for the guild’s Promotional Award.

Jaguar Cars Operational Director John Johnson received the award at a grand ceremony held at the House of Lords last night, where Jeoff Cousins, the Managing Director of Jaguar Cars, was bestowed a Fellowship by the Asian Guild.

Khawaja also received a Fellowship from the Guild at the event.

Asian Guild Director General Suresh Joshi said the awards are modelled on the same lines as the Nobel Prize and seek to recognise and honour the unparalleled economic and cultural contribution made by Asians to every aspect of life in the United Kingdom.

“British Asians with a high profile are moving away from the bonds of race and disadvantages and start to create communities of shared values and culture, rather than communities of common decent.

“Above all,we gather to celebrate our values, our hard work and our contribution to the British ways of life and in the process, made British Asians proud of their contributions to Britain,” Joshi said.
