IYC told to cancel Virbhadra son election

The Foundation for Advanced Management of Elections an independent agency commissioned by AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi to oversee Indian Youth Congress elections on Friday recommended declaring null and void Vikramaditya Singhs election to the post of Himachal Pradesh Youth Congress president. Vikramaditya,22,is the son of Union Minister Virbhadra Singh.

The FAME,in its recommendation sent to the Indian Youth Congresss IYC poll body,has also recommending debarring Vikramaditya from contesting polls afresh.

The FAME,said the allegations of violation of model code of conduct against Vikramaditya had been found to be true. FAME had made a detailed inquiry into the complaints,and allowed all sides to present their case. After going through the submissions and information from our sources,we came to the conclusion that Vikramaditya Singh stands in the violation of the code of conduct laid down for the IYC elections, said Major General Rtd S P Jhingon,FAME treasurer.
