Infiltration bid foiled,one held

A Pakistani national was arrested after army troops foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pallanwalla area

A Pakistani national was arrested after army troops foiled an infiltration bid from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Pallanwalla area of Akhnoor tehsil in Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday morning.

Army personnel apprehended Bashir Ahmed,when the 60-year-old along with two others tried to cross over to Ranjitdev village around 5 am. The personnel opened fired at the intruders when they noticed them trying to cross over.

While Bashir was arrested,the other two intruders managed to flee back to Pakistan. He appears to be a guide who was leading the intruders to the Indian side,sources added.

This has been the second infiltration bid by militants into the Indian side this month.
