IB wants writer cops

Last week,the top bosses of all the police forces in the city,including the paramilitary forces and organisations like NCRB and BPRD,received an unusual packet from the Intelligence Bureau. It contained the latest issue of an international magazine called The Police Chief,the official publication of the International Association of the Chiefs of Police. Attached was a note that requested the DGPs to encourage their officers to contribute articles for the magazine. The packet seemed completely innocuous but some of the DGPs were left wondering whether this was an indirect way of telling the police officers that they needed to catch up with international developments in their field and should,therefore,start reading magazines like these.
