Gurjjar stir: Panel for talks set up
JAIPUR: Even as Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot announced a three-member committee to hold talks with Gurjjars,Col retd Kirori Singh Bainsla maintained that the agitation,which entered day five,would continue till the government gave them 5 per cent reservation. A panel of three ministers has been created to hold talks with the Gurjjar leaders to try and work out a solution. We have appealed to all Gurjjar leaders to end the agitation following a High Court order that stayed reservation for them, said Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal.
4 CISF men hurt in Jharkhand attack
GIRIDIH: Four CISF personnel were on Friday injured after Naxals attacked a bus carrying them as part of an escort party for poll officials. The Naxals attacked the bus at Barasingha village with heavy gunfire and in the ensuing cross-fire the CISF personnel were injured. A search operation has been launched.
Dera chief absolved of murder charge
AMBALA: Gurmeet Ram Rahim,chief of Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda,was absolved of murder charge in the Faqir Chand murder case by special CBI Magistrate Abdul Majid on Friday. The special magistrate accepted the closure report of the case filed by CBI.
JDS chargesheet against BSY govt
BANGALORE: Keeping up its onslaught against the BJP government,JDS on Friday released a first installment of chargesheet listing 10 corruption charges on the eve of the zilla and taluk panchayat polls. Releasing the chargesheet at a public meeting here,JDS chief H D Deve Gowda alleged Karnataka had witnessed scams running into Rs 1 lakh crore during the B S Yeddyurappa regime in the past two and-a-half years.
