Garhwa ambush: Mukhiya held,Naxals free three

Mehtas security guard Sunesh Ram is still in Maoist custody.

Bargar panchayat mukhiya Ram Das Minz,who is suspected to have a role in the ambush by Naxalites that left 13 policemen dead near Bargar under Bhandaria police station in Garhwa on Saturday,has been arrested. A villager,Fida Hussain,has also been arrested and two others Maksud Ansari and Budhlal Kerketta detained.

Minz has been booked under various sections of the Criminal Law Amendment Act,Unlawful Activities Prevention Act,and sections 320 murder and 120-B criminal conspiracy of the IPC.

Meanwhile,Garhwa Zilla Parishad chairperson Sushma Mehta and two others,who were claimed to have been abducted by the Maoists and set free,returned home Tuesday. Mehtas security guard Sunesh Ram is still in Maoist custody.
