EGoM meeting on spectrum deferred

A crucial meeting of the high-powered ministerial panel on auction of telecom spectrum,headed by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee,was deferred on Thursday.

The meeting of the Empowered Group of Ministers (EGoM),slated for the evening,was postponed initially and subsequently deferred indefinitely,official sources said. No reasons were given for the postponement. Also no new dates have been indicated of the next meeting.

The EGoM was to discuss crucial issues of high spectrum price recommended by TRAI,payment terms and network roll-out obligations for auction of airwaves due before August 31.

Nizamuddin went to the US in December 2015 for a Master’s course in Computer Science, which he completed from Florida Institute of Technology in 2017. He completed his B.Tech in ECE from Jayaprakash Narayan College of Engineering, Mahbubnagar.
