She’s the director and producer of Jism 2 while he is the writer, and shooting with both Pooja and Mahesh Bhatt is an ideal situation, according to Arunoday Singh. Pooja,as a director is very clear about what she wants while Mahesh Bhatt is there to oversee everything; a perfect aide to her. He doesn’t interfere when she is helming a scene, but he would enhance in whatever way he could by making sure that the actors understood the subject and telling them when they have given a good shot or a bad one and how they can better it; which is great, says Arunoday who plays a swashbuckler in the film.
However both are very forthright and not afraid to tell an actor if he doesn’t deliver. They don’t bullshit you and never tell you anything softly. They are very straight so you don’t waste time figuring what they mean. Like there was this scene between Sunny Leone and me and which I didn’t get right. Mahesh Bhatt shouted,’Boy! Focus’. I did that and, sure enough, when I gave all my attention to the scene it turned out well, says Singh.
About Sri Lanka, where most of the film was shot,Arunoday says that it was an intriguing mix of monitor lizards and mouthwatering cuisine. There are these monitor lizards which are about five feet long and look like crocodiles. They have the knack of landing up anywhere, anytime. So everyone including me and my co-stars Sunny Leone and Randeep Hooda would freak out when on entering our rooms we would find one inside. But actually they are quite harmless and we even gave them names like Chintu. What stunned us was the Sri Lankan cuisine. The fish curry and dosas and apams
were out of this world, says the actors with a smile.
