Cong: J038;K assembly right in summoning V K Singh

A day after Jamp;K Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul summoned former Army Chief Gen V K Singh and asked him to explain his allegations about payoffs to mainstream politicians in the state,the Congress on Thursday said the retired officer made derogatory statements against ministers and the assembly is well within its right to summon him. Congress spokesperson P C Chacko said,Singh made a very derogatory statement against the ministers,members of the assembly and on the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and on the government. So this derogatory statement is a sufficient enough reason for the assembly to summon him and he will have to answer.
