CBI yet to trace vehicle it raided Stalins house for

In all,the CBI has so far claimed to have seized 33 cars which had evaded duty to the tune of crores of rupees.

Most of these cars were imported sold to business houses in and around Chennai by Alex C Joseph,who was one of those raided by the CBI. We have seized documents related to land and flats in the name of Alex and his family members. Alex is absconding, a senior CBI official said. Sources,however,suspected Alex might have fled India. The CBI is issuing a look out circular for him.

Stalin,a CBI official said,was introduced to Alex by his close associate Raja Shankar,a Chennai based realtor who is reported to have brokered deals for the DMK leader in the past and from whom the CBI claimed to have seized one of the imported cars. CBI sleuths will record Shankars statement to ascertain if he had helped other people procure imported cars through Alex.
