BSP expels MLA who had defected from SP

The BSP on Tuesday expelled Hamirpur MLA Ashok Singh Chandel,who had defected from the Samjawadi Party about a year ago,alleging he was not taking interest in the peoples issues,and had failed to develop proper coordination with BSP workers in the area. Contacted on the phone,Chandel expressed surprise over his expulsion and said,I will try to remove the misunderstanding about me. I fail to understand what prompted the Chief Minister to expel me from the party. In a statement,state BSP president Swami Prasad Maurya said Chandel could not connect with the BSPs policy and its ideology.
