ISI chief among Times 100 most influential people
ISLAMABAD: Pakistrans ISI chief Lt Gen Ahmed Shuja Pasha has made it to the list of Time magazines 100 most influential people in the world along with the likes of US President Barack Obama. Pashas profile on the magazines website was written by former CIA director Michael Hayden,who called him a Pakistani patriot and US partner trying to manage the difficult task of reconciling the two roles.
Toronto suspect, victim in one building
TORONTO: A man charged with murdering a Chinese woman whose struggle with her assailant was seen on webcam by her boyfriend in China lives in the same building as the victim,police said. The body of York University student Liu Qian,23,of Beijing,was found last Friday in her Toronto apartment.

BEIJING: A court sentenced a university student to death Friday for killing a waitress to cover up a hit-and-run accident that killed two people . Yao Jiaxin,21,a student at Xian Conservatory of Music,said he killed the victim in Shaanxi province last October to to keep her quiet.
UK tourist saves child after fall
ORLANDO: A small child survived a fall from a fourth-floor hotel balcony when a British tourist caught the 16-month girl below,the police said late Thursday. Helen Beard,44,of Worksop,England,said she caught Jah-Nea Myles after her fall was broken when she hit the third floor balcony. The child is fine.
