Afghan bus hits road bomb,25 killed

KABUL: A bus hit a roadside bomb in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday killing 25 people aboard. The passenger bus was traveling in Nimroz province on a main highway toward the capital,Kabul,when it struck the explosive about 7 am,said Nazir Ahmad,a provincial government spokesman. Another 20 people were wounded,he said. The explosion occurred near Delaram 8211; a volatile area close to the borders of Helmand and Farah provinces.

TEHRAN: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran inaugurated a new policy on Tuesday to encourage population growth,dismissing decades of acclaimed family planning in Iran as ungodly and a Western import. The new government effort will pay families for every new child. Those who think of family planning are thinking in realm of the secular world, Ahmadinejad said.
