President Zardaris father dies

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardaris father Hakim Ali Zardari died Tuesday at a hospital in Islmabad following multiple organ failure. He was 81. Ali was associated with several parties in his long political career,including the ruling Pakistan Peoples Party.

JOPLIN: Rescuers searched Joplin,Missouri,for survivors of the deadliest single US twister in about 60 years. Sam Murphey,a spokesman for Governor Jay Nixons office,said Tuesday that 117 bodies had been found.

3 Japan reactors melted down: Tepco

TOKYO: The Tokyo Electric Power Company said Tuesday that three of the stricken Fukushima plants reactors likely suffered fuel meltdowns in the early days of the crisis. TEPCO said meltdowns likely occurred at units 2 and 3 besides reactor 1.
