DEHRADUN: Two civilians were killed and two injured in an explosion at Armys Raipur shooting range here on Sunday evening,police said. The explosion apparently occurred in an unused rocket launcher at the range,the reasons for which were not immediately known. The identity of the victims was not known,police said.

Punjab,Haryana get respite from cold

CHANDIGARH: Most of Punjab,Haryana and Chandigarh got respite from cold as minimum temperatures soared upto five degrees Celsius above normal. In the plains,Amritsar was coldest at six degrees Celsius,a degree above normal. Chandigarh recorded 8.4 degrees

Cold kills 35-year-old man in Jamp;K

SRINAGAR: A freezing,-10-degree Celsius cold Saturday night killed Lobzang Jigmet,35,of Anley Changtang in Jamp;Ks Leh district. His body was recovered from Stallam in Leh,434 km from Srinagar. While Ladakh froze at sub-zero temperatures,Valley got some respite from intense cold following heavy snowfall in upper reaches. Srinagar slept a warm,2.5 degree Celsius night and woke to a sunny Sunday after four days under a grey sky.
