HC stays CBI probe against Rakesh Maria

MUMBAI: The Bombay High Court on Wednesday stayed its February 27 order for a CBI probe against Maharashtra ATS chief Rakesh Maria and six senior police officers for allegedly shielding K L Bishnoi,a fellow officer accused of obtaining a law degree without sitting for the examination.

UP MLAs to take oath on April 11,12

Lucknow: The newly-elected 403 MLAs of UP will take oath of membership of the Assembly on April 11 and 12 and the Speaker will be elected on April 13. The date for first session of the new Assembly is yet to be decided,officials said.

NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Wednesday reserved for April 27 its judgment in the 11-year-old Tehelka scam case in which former BJP chief Bangaru Laxman is an accused. Laxman is accused of taking bribes from fake arms dealers in return for recommending to the Defence Ministry to award them an arms contract for the Army.
