IIT-Kanpur student dies during exam
KANPUR: Barun Mishra,a PhD student at IIT-Kanpur,died of cardiac arrest while he was writing an exam on Monday. Mishra,31,was a resident of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh,Registrar Sanjeev Kasalkar said.

HYDERABAD: Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi,who was injured in an attack Saturday,is stable,though on respiratory support,doctors said on Monday. Meanwhile,five persons allegedly involved in the attack surrendered on Monday. All five are said to be relatives of Mohammmad Pahelwan,the alleged mastermind.

Car bomb kills man in Jamp;K,several hurt
JAMMU: A car bomb,apparently targeting an Army officer,killed milkman Kuldeep Kumar and injured half-a-dozen people near Udhampur in Jamp;K on Monday,police said. The officer escaped unhurt.
