Sensex recovers 197 pts on strong buying

Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Thursday gained 197.40 points at 18,044.64,as investors ignored rise in food inflation and bought blue chips across sectors. NSE 50-issue Nifty spurted 63.40 points or 1.19 per cent to close at 5,412.35.

Mumbai: In order to provide financial services to its Indian customers,the global electronics major Siemens on Thursday said it has been granted a non-banking lender licence by the Reserve Bank of India.

Mumbai: Star Den Media Services and Zee Turner have announced the launch of a new joint venture company Media Pro Enterprise India. The 50:50 joint venture,initially,will be distributing 68 paid channels of both the companies.
