BJP chief Rajnath Singh and BSPs Mayawati joined RLD president Ajit Singh Monday in demanding the dismissal of the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP government in Uttar Pradesh for the Muzaffarnagar violence.
The situation in Muzaffarnagar is out of control. It is high time the Centre intervened and dismissed the state government, Rajnath tweeted early in the day.
Later,he issued a statement promising support to the Centre to impose Presidents rule in the state.
BJP will fully support in Parliament any such move.
Mayawati alleged SP and BJP were together in fuelling communal tension with an eye on the Lok Sabha election next year. Both parties want to give a communal colour to the polls, she said, citing alleged match-fixing between BJP and SP over the VHP parikrama.
They wanted to disturb the communal fabric of the entire country using the 84 kosi parikrama. But people saw through their gameplan, Mayawati said, adding that time had come for the central government to do its duty to control the situation.
Sunday,RLD chief Ajit Singh had demanded imposition of Presidents rule in the state.
