BJP talks Advani yatra,no route map yet

Just about a week after the green signal from the RSS leadership,BJP office-bearers held their first meeting to chalk out details of senior leader LK Advanis Rath Yatra beginning next month from Sitabdiara in Bihar.

Just about a week after the green signal from the RSS leadership,BJP office-bearers on Monday held their first meeting to chalk out details of senior leader LK Advanis Rath Yatra beginning next month from Sitabdiara in Bihar.

The discussions, party circles asserted, were largely on working out the logistical arrangements besides delegating work down the line to make the rally a success.

Advanis yatra, his sixth one since the first Ram Rath Yatra in September 1990,will be a 40- day event beginning on October 11 and will travel to most states, but will focus more on poll bound ones including Punjab,Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Party circles, however, said that a clear route map was yet to be chalked out with more details likely to emerge in the coming few days. A larger meeting of office-bearers as well as senior leaders is planned on September 29 to give final shape to the yatra programme.

Interestingly, according to the party leaders, the BJPs two-day national executive meet beginning here on September 30 will have a special session deliberating Advanis yatra.
