Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel with Lauren Dreyer, vice-president, Starlink business operations
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the ‘Gujarat AI Stack’ at the Regional AI Impact Conference at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar on Thursday.
On its sidelines Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi held a number of meetings with senior officers of various leading companies in the field of Artificial Intelligence like NVIDIA, Starlink, owned by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, Oracle JAPAC, and Google Cloud.
Chief Minister Patel said his government was “committed” to make digital governance smarter , faster and citizen-centric by operationalizing the statewide Gujarat Unified Digital Stack.
This will enable citizens to easily access all services from a single platform, and speed up data sharing among departments allowing “real-time analysis of outcomes” of government schemes, said a government release.
Official sources said that the meetings were held at Mahatma Mandir Convention Centre in Gandhinagar on the sidelines of the Regional AI Impact Conference. At one of the meetings, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present along with Sanghavi. Whereas, in other meetings, he was joined by Science and Technology Minister Arjun Modhwadia and senior officers of the state government.
In one of his posts regarding meeting with officials of NVIDIA, Sanghavi stated, “Did a productive meeting with NVIDIA, focusing on advanced supercomputing, high-performance architectures, and next-gen AI infrastructure. Discussed the growing opportunities for India in accelerating AI adoption, building robust compute capacity, and strengthening innovation ecosystems for future-ready governance and industry. Insights shared were truly valuable for shaping our digital and AI-driven vision.”
In another post regarding his meeting with officials of Starlink, Sanghavi stated, “Attended a series of insightful one-to-one meetings with global leaders from Starlink. Engaged in enriching discussions on next-gen connectivity, market access, digital innovation, hybrid cloud, GenAI, and future-ready technology solutions. These interactions provided valuable perspectives for accelerating India’s digital growth and strengthening technology-driven governance.”
This conference was organized as a “pre-event” in the lead-up to the AI Impact Summit to be held in India in February 2026 under the auspices of the Department of Science and Technology of the State Government and the IT Ministry of the Central Government.
