Arunachal Pradesh budget passed

Arunachal Assembly has passed the Rs 201 cr deficit Budget for 2012-13 by voice vote.

The Arunachal Assembly has passed the Rs 201.05 crore deficit Budget for 2012-13 by voice vote after long debate.

8220;The budget is growth-oriented that will cover all sectors and benefit all sections,particularly the youth through self-employment generation,not white-collar jobs,8221; Finance Minister Chowna Mein said yesterday.

Responding to suggestions put forward by members in the House,Mein disclosed that the budget was prepared in accordance to experts advice including from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to put thrust on rubber,tea and agri-allied sectors.

Taking part in the discussion,Mein said planning was a critical process which needs united and conscientious approach and he would be happy when the budgeted money percolated to the grassroots level.
