Army foils infiltration bid in J038;K

In yet another ceasefire violation,Pakistani troops opened fire on forward Indian posts in Poonch district after the Army foiled an infiltration bid by militants in Degwar area late Wednesday.

Giving details,sources said that troops at a forward post noticed militants sneaking in from across the LoC. The Armymen opened fire,thereby,foiling the infiltration attempt. In order to provide cover to the retreating militants,Pakistani troops opened small arms fire on Indian positions.

On Monday,the Army troops gunned down a militant after he had crossed the LoC with explosives to the Indian side.
