Army complex murder: Kids held

The bruised body of Jhumjhum,who had gone missing on Monday,was found on Tuesday evening from the tenth-floor terrace of one of the buildings in the complex.

8220;The boys confessed that they had enticed her to the terrace,saying they were going to play,8221; said Supratim Sarkar,Deputy Commissioner of Police South. 8220;Then they tried to molest her. She resisted and threatened to tell her mother. Frightened,the boys pushed her hard. She hit her head against the terrace wall and fell unconscious. Then the boys hit her again and strangulated her.8221;

Jhumjhum lived with her parents and brother in Block 15 of the complex,where her mother Gouri Das works as a domestic help at the home of Joshi Khandelwal and Shobha Joshi.
