A team of UP Police is camping in Jabalpur city of Madhya Pradesh to trace the owner of the moped which was used in the July 12 Allahabad blast in which two persons,including The Indian Express Senior Reporter Vijay Pratap Singh,were killed and minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi was injured.
Sources in the UP Police said the second-hand moped was bought by someone in Jabalpur about one-and-a-half month ago.
The moped was first sold four or five years ago from a Bajaj showroom in Jabalpur and then it changed hands on a few occasions,
they said.
Allahabad IG S K Singh refused to speak on the matter at this point of time,but said teams had been sent to various states for investigation.
