AI defers B-787 training schedule

In its petition the IPG has opposed the induction of pilots from the erstwhile Indian Airlines for training on the new aircraft.

Air India on Wednesday told the Bombay High Court that it has deferred the training schedule of pilots for the Boeing-787 Dreamliner aircraft till the end of November on account of ongoing negotiations with the Indian Pilots Guild IPG.

In its petition the IPG has opposed the induction of pilots from the erstwhile Indian Airlines for training on the new aircraft. The pilots contend that they have more experience than the ones from Indian Airlines.
