ABB India bags Rs 128-cr project from Power Grid

The scope of the project includes designing,engineering and commissioning of the sub-station,ABB further said.

Power and automation technology provider ABB said it has bagged an order worth Rs 128.3 crore from state-run Power Grid Corporation of India PGCIL for setting up a sub-station in Gujarat.

ABB India has won a Rs 128.3-crore order from PGCIL for a 400-kV gas insulated switchgear sub-station to strengthen the power transmission network in the country8217;s western grid,the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE.

The scope of the project includes designing,engineering and commissioning of the sub-station,ABB further said.

The substation will strengthen transmission grid and help improve reliability and quality of electricity supply,ABB India Vice-Chairman and MD Biplab Majumdar said.

Shares of ABB were trading at Rs 724.50,up 1.12 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE.
