A royal letdown

Priyanka Chopras witty and candid remarks were a refreshing change from the usually politically-correct actors.

It was interesting to read the cover story in the last issue of Screen dated February 18.

Priyanka Chopras witty and candid remarks were a refreshing change from the usually politically-correct actors. But having said that,the story would have been far more insightful if the director and the other actors comprising the cast had been present at the event.

We would have got an opportunity to know how all the actors who played her husbands in the film prepared for their respective roles and whether they were apprehensive about essaying characters so different from what they have played before.

Also,I watched the film after reading Priyankas interview,but her claim that 7 Khoon Maaf is laced with humour was hardly true. There were instances when I felt that there was hardly anything to laugh about. I wish the film had been as entertaining as Priyankas interview.

A truck cleaner in Navi Mumbai was rescued by the police after being abducted by the father of a sacked IAS officer. The victim was held captive, given stale food, and threatened with murder. The accused demanded compensation for their damaged car and threatened to kill the victim if not paid. The accused have been charged with extortion and destruction of evidence.
