15-yr-old heart patient dies in school

A 15-year-old girl collapsed just before the school assembly and died on her way to the nearest hospital. Vedika Goyal,a Standard IX student of Ashoka Hall Girls School,fainted and began vomiting at around 9 am. We rushed her to Belle View Nursing Home but she was declared brought dead, said Patralekha Ghosh,school principal. Ghosh said Vedikas parents had not informed the school authorities that the child had undergone a heart valve replacement in March 2008. Vedikas parents said they did not blame the school for the incident.
