Wasnik stable: doctors

Doctors at the Indraprastha Apollo Hospital on Wednesday said the condition of All India Congress Committee AICC general secretary and former Union Sports Minister Mukul Wasnik was stable. 8220;He is conscious and out of danger now,8221; hospital sources said.

Dr V P Singh, senior consultant in the Neurosurgery Department, and his team conducted a cerebral angioplasty procedure on Tuesday, which according to the doctors has been a success. 8220;The clot dissolving agent has worked well and his condition is stable now,8221; said a doctor.

The doctors said further surgical interventions would depend on Wasnik8217;s condition. 8220;At present, it is important to keep a close observation on his condition,8221; they added. Wasnik was admitted to the hospital on Monday evening after he suffered a brain haemorrhage.
