MUMBAI, April 21: The national cricket selection committee chairman Ajit Wadekar has clarified that the Bank of Baroda’s (BoB) credit card division had taken a prompt and corrective action in February after the receipt of his letter informing about the theft of his BoB card last December.

Wadekar said on Wednesday, though he had informed his (SBI Factors) PR department to advise BoB card division of the theft at the earliest, the latter had not been alerted `through oversight’.

“My subsequent conformatory letter dated December 10 also did not reach them (BoB card division), as reported in the newspapers earlier,” he said.Wadekar further added that the said letter was acted upon by BoB card promptly once it finally reached them on February 8.
