Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitram Nigam has decided to introduce Voluntary Disclosure Scheme VDS of load for agriculture consumers. This scheme will be effective up to December 31. A decision to this effect was taken keeping in view the persistent demand by the farmers and the feedback from field officers, said a senior DHBVN official. Under the VDS, the farmers who have raised the capacity of their motors without permission can declare it voluntarily by submitting an 8220;application and agreement8221; form. They need not submit any fresh terms and conditions or affidavits.
Their load shall be regularised without charging any penalty, said officials. However, the consumers will have to deposit advance consumption security and submit a test report for the extended load. The unauthorised extension in load shall be regularised with the existing system.
If the existing system cannot take the additional load declared by the consumers, then the existing equipment will be augmented by the Nigam. Farmers who have extended existing electricity supply to new bore may also declare the extension voluntarily.
