CHANDIGARH, March 21: Vineet Khosla’s brilliant knock of 90 runs off 52 balls enabled Videocon Cricket Club beat PGI Cricket Club by 22 runs in the second Shankar Lal Memorial cricket tournament at PGI ground here today.

Vineet hit 11 boundaries and three sixers during his knock, which helped the team score 208 runs in the allotted 25 overs.

Ritesh (54 not out) and Jasminder Singh (25) also contributed to the total.

PGI began on a sound note but the tailenders were unable to face the rival bowlers and the team was restricted to 186 in the stipulated 25 overs,losing five wickets.

Rajeev Dutta (74 not out) and Amit Bhardwaj (54) were the main scorers for the team.

Ritesh and Surinder scalped two wickets each.

In another match Gymkhana Cricket Club defeated Chetna Cricket Club by nine runs.

Anil excels
An all performance by Anil (38 runs and 2 for 29) helped Sonet XI score five wickets win over LIC in the fifth Shine Star cricket tournament today.

In another match Pace XI beat Phoenix XI by 20 runs.
