Former national hard courts champion Vijay Kannan rallied from a set down to oust Pakistan8217;s Shahzad Khan 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 in the first round of the ITF Satellite Masters men8217;s tennis event here today.

Ashutosh Singh extended his last week8217;s good form to prevail over Korean Dong-Whee Choi 7-6 7-4, 6-4 in another first round tie at the DLTA complex.

Ajay Ramaswami scored a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Briton Luke Campbell to advance to the second round while Pathanjali Ravishankar breezed past Mait Kunnap of Estonia 6-1, 6-2.
