VADODARA, Feb 3: Students at the Faculty of Arts found a novel way to express their feelings. It was not by giving cards or exchanging flowers, it was by way of exchanging vegetables.
The vegetables which were exchanged among students like chillies, tomatoes and ladies finger. While exchange of a red chilly symbolised love, accepting a lady8217;s finger meant accepting to be the boy or girl8217;s dream person.
There were of course very few students who exchanged onions and garlic which symbolised enmity. Many students also exchanged red tomatoes which meant accepting friendship. The Vegetables Day was celebrated as a part of the month-long programme among the many more days to be celebrated throughout the month.
