Varsity to probe irregularities

PUNE, Sept 22: Acknowledging the financial irregularities in the single-window system of the University of Pune UoP, the Management Council today decided to appoint a one-man committee to enquire into the issue.

It also decided that a committee be appointed to enquire into the discrepancies in the audit report of the UoP for the year 8217;97-98, which will be submitted to the Senate at its meeting next month. The Management Council also approved the creation of a post of professor for the Department of Ayurveda, subject to permission of the State Government.
