Varinder in semifinal

AMBALA, Sept 11: The quarter-final rounds were completed in the Haryana State Badminton Championship here today. Varinder, Kapil, Ajay Rathee and Naval moved into the men8217;s singles semifinals with wins in their respective quarter-final matches.

Sativinder outplayed Amit 15-13, 13-15, 15-13 to get a berth in the next round of the under-19 boys singles. Sativender also combined with Sukhwinder to beat Nirdarsh and Harjinder in the doubles.

In the girls under-19 singles category, Pratibha beat Anjali 11-4, 11-9 while Preetika defeated Deepali 11-6, 13-11.
