Valuables stolenAccording to a complaint registered by Ketanbhai Der in the Rander police station, an unidentified person broke into his empty house located at 101/B Yogi complex in Choksiwadi on Monday night and decamped with cash and valuables worth Rs 45,000. Gold and silver ornaments valued at Rs 40,000 and cash about Rs 6000 was stolen, the police said, adding a case had been registered and investigations were on.One beatenBharatkumar Makwana, in a complaint lodged in the Mahidharpura police station, has alleged that he was manhandled and severely beaten by four people after they mistook him to be a thief. Makwana said he was passing from near the Gogani Wadi near the railway station when an unidentified woman raised an alarm saying she was robbed. Three others and the woman immediately caught him and started beating him, before escaping. A case under IPC 323, 324 and 114 has been registered and investigations are on, the police said.Hit-and-runTwo passengers were injured when a rickshaw driver rammed his vehicle from the rear into another rickshaw on Tuesday, according to a complaint lodged in the Mahidharpura police station. Driver Rameshsingh Damgujarsingh rammed his auto (GJ 5 Y 379) into another rickshaw (GQC 924), injuring one Ramesh and another unidentified person. The police have taken Rameshsingh into custody for reckless driving.Vehicle stolenOne Sanjeev Kumar Mishra, a resident of Rander area of the city, has in a complaint filed in the Ichhapore police station on Tuesday stated that spare parts of his Hero Honda motorcycle (GJ 5 NN 6560), including the head light and battery, were stolen from the parking lot of Reliance Industries on Monday night. A case has been registered under CrPC 379.
