Attempt to murder
A case of attempt to murder has been registered against four people, who seriously injured two persons with broken bottles, swords and pipes after a minor argument on Sunday night. According to the Limbayat police, Rajkumarsingh Rajput and Ramsingh were passing through the Limbayat area when Ismail Nazir Shaikh, Fazal Nazir Shaikh, Mannan and another unidentified person 8212; all residents of Mayur hall area of Limbayat 8212; abused them. When they objected, the four injured them with weapons. While Rajput and Ramsingh have been hospitalised, the police have registered a case under sections 307, 323, 324, 326 and 504 of the IPC. However, no arrests have been made so far.

One robbed
Ravan Shahu, in a complaint lodged in the Athwa Lines police station, has claimed that he was robbed of Rs 2100 cash when he was standing at the Hanuman Char Rasta in Gopipura area of the city. Shahu said that an unidentified person, about 30, approached him saying he was an inspector and wanted to check him. When he refused, the man took out a knife and forcibly took away his cash. A case under IPC 392 and 419 has been registered and is being investigated.

3 vehicles lifted
VADODARA: Three cases of vehicle theft were reported from various parts of the city on Saturday night. A Kinetic Honda motorcycle GJ-6-HH-3334 worth Rs 34,000 was stolen from Nizampura, a moped no. GJ-6-FF-186 worth Rs. 15,000 from Suraj Plaza building in Sayajigunj and a Hero Honda motorcycle GJ-6-FF-4764 from Deepika Society in Karelibaug area.
