
Explosion in the sky8217; over VIP Road
Curiosity gripped residents of Vrindavan Park Society on VIP Road around 10.15 pm on Sunday when an 8220;explosion in the sky8221; was followed by the dropping of small, round piece of metal with a faint red mark, apparently from the sky. Karelibaug PSI C G Rathod said the metal object, about one-and-half inches in diameter, would be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory. They would also contact the Air Force for help, he added.

Jeevan Akshay Charitable Trust, a city-based trust working with the SSG Hospital, has invited financial assistance for Mitral Valve Replacement surgery on one Bayaben Ranoji Vanjara. According to the Trust8217;s statement, the operation is expected to cost Rs 60,000. The Trust has already collected Rs 10,000. According to the Trust, Vanjara, 30, has three children and her family8217;s daily income is not more than Rs 50. Career guidance
Friends Society, a University youth organisation, has organised a career guidance programme on Tuesday at the Sardar Patel Planetarium at 9 a.m. for students who have passed the HSC General stream examination.
