
Students approach senate
The 22-odd students of the Faculty of Commerce, who will not be able to appear for their final examinations, met the senate and the syndicate members of the M S University and appealed them to take up their case in the coming meeting. Meanwhile, syndicate members here claimed that the would consider the case only if the students could be accommodated for the examinations.
Exhibition
The Technical Backup Support Unit is organising an exhibition on Consumerism and Energy Conservation on Tuesday from 3 pm at the Faculty of Home Science. The various aspects to be covered in the exhibition would include malpractices in market, irregularities in weights and measures, adulteration, misleading packages, standardisation marks and the procedure to seek redressal. The show is being organised with the participation of Foods and Drug Laboratory, Jagrut Grahak and the GEDA.
Book meet
The 35th Book Lovers8217; Meet will be held at the GNFC8217;s auditorium on Thursday. Dinesh Patel will give a presentation on, Indian Ethos for Modern Management,8217; authoured by Swami Jeetamanand.
Art exhibition
Surat: Artist Chandra Kant8217;s solo exhibition of drawings and paintings was inaugurated at Rotary Art Gallery, Nanpura on Sunday. The week-long exhibition will be open from 11 am to 9 pm.
Traffic ban
Deputy Commissioner D M Naik has issued a notification banning vehicular traffic on 22 feet road in Kapodara-Varachha area, near Srinagar Society. The road will be closed from 7 to 11 am and 4 to 9 pm. Naik said the decision was to taken to minimise accidents. Those with suggestions or objections regarding the ban should contact the DCP Traffic.
