Traffic to be diverted for bridge repair
The Vadodara traffic police have announced traffic diversion on Wednesday and Thursday night for carrying out repair works of the Alkapuri railway underbridge. Accordingly, all the traffic from Kalaghoda going towards Alkapuri would be diverted through Kadak Bazaar railway underbridge and Priyalaxmi Mills from 8 p.m. on Wednesday till 8 a.m. on Thursday. Similarly, traffic from GEB headed for Sayajigunj would be diverted through Wadiwadi fire brigade centre and Shastri bridge from 8 p.m. on Thursday till 8 a.m. the next morning.

Six grilled
Six accused for exhibiting a lion cub at a farmhouse here were interrogated on Tuesday by the Wildlife Wing officials of the Vadodara Circle of Social Forestry. Farmhouse owner Anupam Zaveri and his brother, Apollo circus owner Ranjan Babu, two of his staff and the transporter of the cub from Surat to Vadodara faced the query, official sources said. A case is likely to be filed against the accused on Wednesday, the sources added.
