AIR agitation continues
The indefinite strike of announcers of All India Radio, Vadodara entered the 12th day on Wednesday. The agitating announcers are demanding parity of wages with engineers and transmission executives. According to Vadodara unit secretary Chetan Jani, the quality of announcements have suffered with casual announcers doing the job.

Stir withdrawn
The Sindhrot villagers have called off their stir against the collectorate8217;s decision to allot a 10-acre plot to the Ram Chandra Mission. Former MP Satyajit Gaekwad, who led the stir, said the relay hunger strike was withdrawn after District Collector Anil Mukim promised to allot another plot to the mission.

No form fee
The Gujarat Secondary Education Board has waived the Rs 20 form fee for external HSC students appearing in the October examinations. Free forms will be available at the DEO8217;s office, GSEB secretary N K Patel said.

Donation
Dr K H Patel, associate professor of the department of the medicine, Vadodara Medical College, donated 15 steel stools, bodycare bedside, screen and 24 blankets to the SSG Hospital.

Contest winners
The Convent of Jesus and Mary, Navrachana School and Alembic Vidyalaya won the first, second and third prize, respectively, at the inter-school group song competition on environmental issues organised by the Society for Clean Environment on Monday.

Demonstration
A fire fighting demonstration was held at the M S University Pavilion on Wednesday, which was attended by students from various faculties.
